Tatooine

Tatooine is a desert system that can be conquered in Empire at War. It is known primarily as the homeworld of Luke Skywalker.

Strategy

Tatooine has two severe environmental factors that can be crippling to any land forces, such as sand devils which will instantly kill or destroy any units on contact, or the occasional sandstorms that reduce rocket accuracy, giving infantry a hard time against enemy vehicles.

Tatooine has 4 indigenous species; Humans, Hutts, Jawas and Tusken Raiders. Humans and Jawas are friendly to the Alliance and the Hutts to the Empire, while Tusken Raiders are hostile to everyone. Banthas, Womp Rats and Rancors are also found here; Banthas and Womp Rats are harmless but may get in the way of troop movement. Rancors are hostile to any units.

The benefit of owning the Tatooine system in Galactic Conquest is the Light Armour Bonus, which improves all light vehicle's armour by 10.
